1. Cleaning & Inspection

  • Remove mud and salt (corrosive) from the chassis and tracks.

  • Inspect for oil leaks at the hydraulic fittings.

  • Touch-ups: Apply a coat of paint to the chips to stop the rust.

2.1 Engine & Fluids (Gasoline Engine)

  • Fuel tank full: Fill the tank to the maximum to avoid condensation and rust formation on the inner walls of the tank.

  • Add fuel stabilizer

  • Close the gas valve (see the next two photos for its location) and let the engine run until it stops on its own to empty the fuel from the carburetor.

2.2 Engine & Fluids (Diesel Engine)

  • Fuel tank full: Fill the tank to the maximum to avoid condensation and rust formation on the inner walls of the tank.

  • We recommend using winter diesel to prevent freezing or a summer diesel conditioner.

3. Hydraulic System

  • Apply a layer of grease to the chromed cylinder rods to protect them from surface rust

  • Grease all axles and joints generously through the various grease points.

4. Battery

  • Disconnect the battery and store it in a temperate location.

  • Use a smart battery charger.

5. Physical Storage

  • Park on a flat, dry surface (concrete or wood), not directly on the ground.

  • Support the bucket and the scraper on the ground (see next photo as an example of a safe position).

  • Store in a place sheltered from rain and where air can circulate (use a breathable tarpaulin when stored outdoors)
